Staff Conference: It’s All About You!

On 6th June 2024, Staff from all six Macklin homes came together for a meaningful staff conference.
Hosted at The Malone Hotel in Belfast, our “It’s All About You” conference was a full day of empowerment, learning and connection for our dedicated team of staff across our group of care homes.
Kicking off with an engagement survey and ice breaker activities, we then listened to a relative from Parkmanor giving their perspective on the care services we deliver. (There was not a dry eye in the room!)
Moving onto Industry speakers, we had the pleasure of welcoming Brenda Rushe from RCN, Gary Mitchell from Queen’s University Belfast and Brighide Lynch from Ulster University.
Finishing up with an interactive workshop facilitated by Ever Unique Productions, our conference concluded on a high with lots of laughter from our team.
Taking this opportunity to come together in person and reflect & learn had a great lasting impact on staff. Many won raffle prizes at the event and left with lots of “food for thought”!
