A Talented Resident Shows off their Poetry Skills in a Testament to the Wonderful Park Manor

One of our admirable residents wrote a heartfelt and touching poem about their time with us. It paints a warm, happy picture of Park Manor. We know our residents hold a dear place in their heart for our care homes… because we care with heart, so it was fantastic to have someone put this in writing.

Park Manor

Park Manor isn’t just a home,

I’m happy here, I’m not alone.

Feeling relaxed as I watch TV

my carers come in for a chat with my tea.

These friendly faces I see around,

Happy laughter is a familiar sound.

I feel warm and safe within these walls

always a helping hand if I need to call.

My dignity kept, respect always there,

these amazing people, they really do care.

My loved ones relieved, they too can see

God gave me two homes and two families.

We are proud as punch here at the Macklin Group, and we will certainly be encouraging more creative writing within the homes, as it’s obvious we have some great talent in our midst!

The poetic spark is alive in all human beings – not just professional writers! Why don’t you challenge yourself today to write a poem, maybe about loved one, your favourite things to do or the place that you call home – you will be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
