Macklin’s Got Talent 2025!

Acts on Stage at The Malone Hotel in Belfast

5th August 2025

Thousands Raised for Charity, Lasting Memories Made for Macklin Group...

An unforgettable night of music and dance lit up The Malone Hotel as we hosted our very first “Macklin’s Got Talent” event in support of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland on Friday, 25th July.

The evening brought together 14 incredible performances from staff, residents, and family members, with performers ranging in age from just 7 to 87. From Latin ballroom and harp solos to comedy and a powerful storytelling dance about dementia, the show truly reflected our “Care With Heart” ethos in action.

Our judging panel – made up of Mary & Brian Macklin, their friend Bridgeen, Eoin from Cancer Focus NI, and Sandra & Michael, relatives of Parkmanor Care Home – were blown away by the line-up.

Gareth Macklin, Director of Macklin Group, said on the night:
“Over the past four decades of Macklin Care Homes, we’ve witnessed countless amazing moments – but tonight was truly something special. The talent we saw on stage was remarkable. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without our incredible staff, who go above and beyond every day – not just in care, but in creating joy.”

Congratulations to Care Assistant Ekom from Parkmanor Oaks who was crowned the winner of the night for his stunning performance of ‘Hallelujah’. Well Done also to our runners up Stephanie & Jhun from Ratheane and Kira & Tetyana who represented Milesian Manor.

Eoin Caughey, Community Fundraising Officer at Cancer Focus NI, commented:
“The event was a night of great craic with a serious undertone. The level of talent and thought put into each act was phenomenal. The storytelling around dementia really struck a chord – just like cancer, it’s something that touches so many of us. Thank you to everyone who helped organise this event and donated. Every penny raised will stay local, going directly towards supporting people in Northern Ireland who are living with cancer.”

Thank you to every single person who helped make the event a huge success. We’re proud to have raised £3,600 for local cancer support services – and grateful for the lasting memories made together along the way.
