Ratheane Hosts Intimate Wedding Ceremony

A special day for everyone...
On Thursday, 28th November, Ratheane Nursing Home in Coleraine had the privilege of hosting a wedding ceremony for a relative’s family.
Local couple Valerie & Kenneth decided that their mum Angela was an important part of their big day, and that Ratheane, the home from home where she currently resides with dementia would be the perfect place to celebrate their love.
Management and Activities staff at Ratheane put together a beautiful ceremony room for the family, resembling a professional wedding venue! Caitlin Diamond played the harp as Valerie walked her mum up the aisle to meet Kenneth, surrounded by close family & friends.
It was a very special afternoon at Ratheane and we are so pleased to have made it a success for the family.
