Puuuuurrrrrfect little kittens visit Park Manor on Animal-Human Relationship Awareness Week

24th November 2017

Did you know that spending time with animals can be therapeutic? Our wonderful residents at Park Manor Nursing Home had some furry feline visitors who popped in to say hello. Having animal days create such a healthy happy buzz in our care homes and the residents spent the day getting to know the friendly kittens. One resident said she wished the cats could stay forever as it reminded her of her own cats many years ago!

The Animals & Society Institute created Human-Animal Relationship Awareness week, celebrated annually during the second full week in November, to honour the bond between humans and other animals. This is something that isn’t forgotten at Macklin Care Home’s. Park Manor’s last animal day saw lizards, guinea pigs, centipedes and even snakes visit the residents.

I’m sure it won’t be long until another animal day at Park Manor and the residents can’t wait!
