Arlington Nursing Home Brave the Cold for Bake Sale

24th November 2017

Arlington Nursing Home organised a bake sale to raise money for the residents and while doing so they got into the Christmas spirit with festive antlers and Santa hats!

Chef Graham outdone himself with his baking skills, there were scones, tray bakes and even gorgeous homemade breads. The staff wrapped up warm and braved what felt like the coldest day yet to parade the trolley of fabulous baked goods up and down the Ormeau Road. No sales techniques were needed as the smell of Chef Graham’s pastries and breads had the members of the public hooked!

The cakes and buns were hot property and it wasn’t long before they had sold most of their tasty treats. The resident’s thoroughly enjoyed the buzz of the morning, spirits were high and the smiles were nonstop all day.

The hard work resulted in raising a wonderful £90.00 which got the residents two trendy jukeboxes to play their favourite music on. The day ended with everyone munching away on the cakes and tapping their feet to the some catchy hits.

Great work Arlington, hopefully a nice cup of tea and one of Chef Graham’s scones warmed you all up after the outdoor cake sale.
